GAN offers “The Meeting Room” as a positive online place to come together, to connect and to establish a safe, containing space in which to think and reflect.
The Meeting Room meets fortnightly on Wednesday evenings between 6.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
The group originally began at the beginning of the pandemic, as a means of GAN offering a reflective space in which group members could come together to think and talk about their experiences of living and working in uncertain and confusing times. Over time, the group has developed a small, stable membership, this being a changing process from what was originally a larger group with a fluctuating membership. As the group has evolved we have explored its meaning and purpose. It has become a place in which we can consider the personal within the professional, recognising that our differing environments often don’t allow time or opportunity for thought and reflection. The group allows participants to focus on their own experiences, and to hear those of other group members, within a supporting and containing framework. The context of the group encourages dialogue and hopes to transform frustrations into the positive energy required to think.
If you are interested in joining the group please contact Mandy Wildman, the group facilitator—email@example.com
The group is free for GAN members (membership is £60 per year).
