Group Analysis North (GAN) is a Registered Charity which works in partnership with the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA)  to administer and deliver group analytic training at Foundation, Diploma and Qualifying levels.  It has been running training, workshops and events since the early 1980s and has run a Qualifying Course for over 30 years

GROUP ANALYSIS NORTH

GAN now supports a variety of trainings, workshops and events to support its charitable objectives which are:

  • To develop the theory and practice of group analysis;
  • To develop and provide vocational training and education in group analysis among members of the medical, nursing and other related caring professionals and educationalists;
  • To support the provision of group analysis as widely as possible for the general public especially to those groups disadvantaged by hardship or other adverse conditions.

GAN Groupwork Skills Course

Groups can be scary places for group facilitators as well as group members. Learning about the basics can offer confidence and new skills.

IGA Foundation Course In Groupwork

New for 2023 – this course is run in-person and online.

IGA Diploma In Groupwork Practice

This one year course, can lead towards the status of Group Work Practitioner and Associate Membership of the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA).

IGA Qualifying Course In Group Analysis

The Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) offers a full professional training in group analytic psychotherapy.
