DR CLAIRE S BACHA BA, MA, PhD, M.Inst.GA, UKCP reg

Claire is an individual and group psychotherapist in independent practice. She has previously worked in both the statutory and voluntary sectors. Claire is a training group Analyst for the Manchester Intermediate and Qualifying Courses and she is an active member of the IGA and GAN. She is also a training member of the North West Institute of Dynamic Psychotherapy. She has published papers on new members in groups, film and large groups. She is currently writing a book about the natural history of groups.



DASCHA BORONAT RMN, BA, M.Inst.GA, UKCP reg

Dascha is a group analyst and psychotherapist in private practice. She has an extensive working experience with clients in the NHS, private health care and the voluntary sector as well as clinical supervision of other professionals. She has a special interest in psychotherapy for people recovering from addictions and past abuse.



SUE BRADBURY MBChB, MRCPsych, MSc, M.Inst.GA

Chair of GAN, Sue is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Group Analyst in independent practice based at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate. She has run patient and staff groups in Community Mental health settings and in a specialist Eating Disorders Unit. Sue now runs the Median Group for Group Analysis North and teaches on the Sunderland and Manchester Introductory Courses in Group Psychotherapy.



ISOBEL CONLON RMN, M.Inst.GA, UKCP Reg

Isobel is a group analyst and psychotherapist in private practice. She has extensive experience of working in the NHS, Social Services and the Voluntary Sector. She currently is clinical supervisor to a number of professionals working in the NHS and runs a supervision group for Group Analysts in Leeds. She was formerly a training member of the North West Institute of Dynamic Psychotherapy. Isobel joined the staff of the Manchester Qualifying Course as a supervisor in 2006 and from September 2008 she will be a training group analyst for the course. She is a member of the Training and Academic Policy Committee of the IGA.

John is a Group Analyst and Nurse Therapist at the Red House.

Rufus has worked in the N.H.S for several years and has a private practice in Bury, near Manchester. He has been a staff member of the Manchester Course since 1993 and was also a staff member of a similar course in Sheffield. Rufus has been an active Committee Member for Group Analysis North and a member of the I G A International Courses Committee until 2001.



ANTONY FROGGETT BA, PGCE, M.Inst.GA, UKCP reg

Antony is a Group Analyst who works with individuals and groups in the NHS. He also has a private practice in the city centre of Manchester. He originally trained as a teacher of Sociology before becoming involved in Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition to his clinical work he also provides supervision and training and is the Convenor for the Intermediate Course in Group Psychotherapy and the IGA Qualifying Course in Group Analysis (Manchester). He also runs an on-going Balint Group for GPs and his special interests are in cultural issues in therapy and the understanding of organisations.

Eileen is a Group Analyst with a private practice in Manchester. Prior to then she was the Practice Manager of the NSPCC's Child Sexual Abuse Consultancy in Manchester. Eileen is the Convenor of the Manchester Groupwork Course and an active member of GAN.



MARGARET GALLOP B.Ed (Cambridge University), Dip Couns (Reading University), M.Inst.GA

Margaret works in Primary Care, at Reading University and in private practice. With a background in Education, with children then adults, she trained in Group Analysis at Manchester with Group Analysis North.

The Chair of the Manchester Courses Committee, Keith is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy who works for Lancashire Care NHS Trust and he is actively involved in the development of psychotherapy and group analytic training in the North West. Author with Barnes and Earnst of “An Introduction to Groupwork: A group Analytic Perspective” (1999) Palgrove MacMillan.



DIANA KINDER

Diana is a training group analyst on the Manchester Qualifying Course and was a supervisor and teacher on the London Course.



SALLY KING MA Psychological Studies, M.Inst.GA, UKCP Reg, M.BACP Senior Accred.

Sally is a Group Analyst working in the NHS as an adult psychotherapist and in private practice as a psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor. She is also a member of staff on the Sunderland Introductory Course in Group Analysis and she has worked on the Manchester Group Work Course as a seminar leader and conductor of an experiential group. She is currently a supervisor on the Manchester Intermediate Course in Group Psychotherapy.



BETHAN MARREIROS, MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR

Bethan works part-time and is based at the Red House. In addition, she works during each weekend block when the integrated training takes place. Bethan deals with the application process for all students, processing of payments and acts as the liaison between staff and students.

DEBRA NASH BA Hons, PGCE, MSc, M.Inst.GA

Debra Nash is a Group Analyst and Psychotherapist. She works with individuals and groups in private practice and in Primary Care. As part of her private practice she provides consultation, training and supervision to the NHS. She teaches on the Leicester Introductory Course and for 2 years she was the Events co-ordinator for Group Analysis North. Before becoming a Group Analyst she worked in education and remains interested in how Group Analysis can be applied in this area.



STEVE PADDOCK BSc Psychology and Neuroscience, RN (Mental health), MSc Psychology, M.Inst.GA

Steve currently works as the Manager of the Day Therapeutic Community at The Red House, Manchester. He has worked extensively in the NHS, particularly in the field of therapeutic communities. He is also the Treasurer of Group Analysis North.

Chris is a Group Analyst and Head of the Tuke Centre and Outpatients at the Retreat in York.



DR ALAN PRODGERS BSc, MA, PhD, CQSW, GAS (full), UKCP reg

Alan is a Consultant Adult Psychotherapist working on a sessional basis for The Red House Psychotherapy Service, Manchester. He worked in Psychotherapy in the NHS for 25 years. Alan was a founder member of Group Analysis North, the North West Institute of Dynamic Psychotherapy and the Association of Adult psychotherapists in the NHS. He is interested in primitive processes in groups and organizations and has written in this area. He has also published articles on Countertransference in group and individual therapy.



MARTYN SMITHERS MA in Philosophy, CQSW Post Graduate in Social Work, M.Inst.GA UKCP Reg, Grad IPM Post-Grad diploma in Personnel Management

Until recently Martyn was employed as a Principal Adult Psychotherapist and then had a spell in private practice. He is currently working in a specialist personality disorder team in the NHS.
